雙語金句﹕「無力爭取和平」 安南辭任敘特使

【明報專訊】When the Syrian people desperately need action, there continues to be finger pointing and name calling in the Security Council. It is impossible for me or anyone to compel the Syrian government and also the opposition to take the steps to bring about the political process.

當敘利亞人民迫切需要行動時，安理會裏只在繼續着互相指摘。我或任何人都無法強迫敘利亞政府與反對派採取行動推動政治程序。


聯合國敘利亞危機特使安南（Kofi Annan）昨宣布辭職，他指摘聯合國安理會成員互相推卸責任，令他無力推進和平，但他同時表示「這世界充滿像我這樣瘋狂的人」，「所以若聯合國秘書長潘基文找到能比我做得更好的人，不要感到驚訝」。
