雙語金句﹕「幼院學雙語 小六雙語通」

【明報專訊】“However difficult to learn the mother tongue, especially Chinese （together with） English, if children start early enough from Kindergarten 1 or even nursery, by primary six, they will be bilingual, with a strong foundation in the mother tongue for life.”

「不管母語有多難學，尤其是中文（加上）英語，若兒童早在幼稚園K1甚至幼兒院時就開始（學雙語），到了小學6年級時，他們就能雙語通，兼備堅實的母語基礎，受用終身。」

新加坡前總理李光耀宣布成立基金，推動學前雙語教育，教導國內不同族群的幼兒，同時學習母語和英文。
