Impact of the incident

【明報專訊】The Philippine authorities released in October their investigation report on the hostage-taking incident. None has been arrested for it. On October 12, the Hong Kong government expressed its disappointment in the Philippine authorities' decision.

The SAR government's statement said, "It is hard for Hong Kong people, especially the survivors and the victims' families, to accept Manila's move, and the Philippine government should live up to its pledge to be accountable to the public".
