【明報專訊】The government has given the green light to the second batch of revitalisation projects. There are five-the old Tai Po police station, the old Fanling Magistracy, Old House in Wong Uk Village, Sha Tin, a stone house in Kowloon City and the Blue House in Wanchai. The Blue House has caught more attention than any other because the government has decided to allow those who live there now to live there after it has been "revitalised".
The Blue House revitalisation project, called "We Wa Blue House (We嘩藍屋)", will cost about $56 million. The revitalised Blue House will house a Blue House Story House (藍屋故事館), a dessert stall and a vegetarian restaurant. The eight families living there now will be allowed to move back and the rents payable by them will be frozen for two years. Its other eleven flats will be let out. However, not everyone can be a tenant there. Applicants who can help prepare Blue House guided tours and are worse off will be given priority.
