美英傳媒引述情報官員聲稱，敘利亞多個化武庫儲存的物件被轉移，北約秘書長拉斯穆森稱，關注敘利亞擁有導彈及化武，警告敘國勿輕舉妄動。他表示，北約將批准成員國土耳其的請求，在土敘邊境部署「愛國者」攔截導彈。白宮已警告，若敘國使用化武，將超越美國底線。
